Russell Martin is a defender who has made the right back slot his own since arriving at Norwich City in November 2009. The switch was initially as a loan but Russell made his move from Peterborough United permanent in the January 2010 transfer window. Russell is a steady player who gets up and down the flank supporting the attack as well as defending. He played under manager Paul Lambert at Wycombe before joining Peterborough in the summer of 2008, captaining Posh to promotion to the Championship. Russell had an outstanding season in 2010-11 playing in every minute of the Canaries' promotion campaign. His performances earned him selection for the Scotland squad and in May he made his international debut when he came off the bench against Wales. © 2011 - PFA Player Profiles
