Rob Edwards

Rob Edwards is an experienced defender who joined Blackpool in August 2008. Rob is a brave and consistent performer who has mostly featured as a central defender for the Seasiders, but he also has experience of playing at right back. A regular in the line-up in 2008-09 when he captained the side, he was in and out of the team the following season as the club won promotion to the Premier League. Rob made the starting line-up only once in the top flight and spent the closing weeks of the campaign on loan to Norwich where he acted as cover at the back. He was released by Blackpool in the summer of 2011 and signed for Barnsley. Rob began his career as a youngster with Aston Villa and later played for Wolves before his move to Blackpool.
