Player Details

Richard Stearman is a tall defender who signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers in July 2008. He is a versatile player who is mostly used either at right back or in the centre of defence. He is quick, mobile, strong in the tackle and an effective man marker. Richard was a regular at full back in the 2008-09 promotion team and retained his place for the first half of the following season before losing out to Ronald Zubar. He returned to the line-up at centre back in 2010-11, enjoying a lengthy spell as cover for the injured Jody Craddock. Richard is a product of the Leicester City Academy. He made his senior debut for the Foxes at the age of 17 and went on to make more than 100 appearances before his move to Molineux. He has been capped for England U21s.
