Ricardo Vaz Te Biography

A striker whose arrival at West Ham United in the January transfer window provided a major boost to the club’s promotion campaign.

Ricardo started 2011-12 at Barnsley and scored regularly including a hat-trick in the New Years’ Eve local derby clash with Leeds United. He reached double figure before being sold to West Ham. Ricardo continued to find the net on his arrival at Upton Park and had a run of eight goals in just five games which included a hat-trick in the 6-0 win over Brighton.

His form earned him the npower Championship Player of the Month in April as he assisted the Hammers to the play-offs. Ricardo went on to score the late winner in the play-off final against Blackpool which ensured that the club will play Premier League football in 2012-13.
