Peter Odemwingie

Peter Odemwingie is an attacking player who signed for West Bromwich Albion in August 2010.

Peter is an out-and-out striker, but can also play out wide if required. He is an exciting player with great pace, capable with either foot, and a regular goalscorer. He enjoyed a tremendous first season at The Hawthorns, scoring on his debut against Sunderland and registering a goal every other game.

Peter was twice selected as the Premier League Player of the Month and a scoring run of five consecutive games towards the end of the campaign helped the Baggies secure their best-ever Premier League finish. Peter was born and brought up in Russia, and later played in Nigeria before joining Belgian club La Louviere. He developed his scoring talents with Lille and then Lokomotiv Moscow before joining Albion.

Peter was a member of the Nigeria team that won the silver medal at the 2006 Olympic Games and has gone on to make over 50 international appearances.
