Peter Murphy is Carlisle United's longest serving player having joined the Cumbrians back in 2001. Peter has now made over 400 first-team appearances for the club, most often in recent years as a centre back, but he has also featured at left back and in midfield. After relatively little first-team action in the previous campaign, he returned to prominence in 2010-11 with a regular berth in central defence.
