Paul McLaren is an experienced midfield player who signed for Oxford United at the start of January 2011 and featured regularly in the U's team through to the end of the season.

Paul began his career at Luton Town and has since completed over 400 senior appearances.

He was with Tranmere Rovers at the start of 2010-11, but found it difficult to win a place in the team and was released in November. Paul appears in the centre of midfield where he shows vision on the ball, with his creative skills creating chances for his team mates.
