Patrick Madden is an Irish-born striker who joined Carlisle United in January 2011 from Bohemians. Already a Republic of Ireland U21 international, his goal scoring feats with the Bohs and also Shelbourne, where he had a successful spell on loan, attracted the attention of a number of clubs on this side of the Irish Sea.
