Nicky Bailey is a hard-working midfield player on the books of Middlesbrough, having joined from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2010. Nicky joined the Addicks from Southend United in August 2008 and immediately established himself in the team. He is a strong tackler who leads by example and earned rave reviews in his two years at The Valley, finishing as top scorer and Player of the Season in 2008-09. Nicky took a bit of time to establish himself in the Boro side, but played a key role in a new deep-lying midfield position for new manager Tony Mowbray, although his season finished early due to injury.
