Mike Williamson Biography

An experienced central defender who has been at Newcastle United since January 2010.

He is a no-nonsense style player who quickly established himself alongside Fabricio Coloccini at the heart of the Magpies' defence.

Mike continued to play regularly during 2010-11 although he missed the final three games after suffering a broken arm in a freak training injury. He was again absent for much of the first half of 2011-12 through injury before returning to feature regularly in the side after Christmas.

He began his career at Torquay United and has since played for a number of clubs including Wycombe Wanderers and Watford.
