Michael Coulson Biography
Michael Coulson is a promising young striker who was playing
Conference football for Scarborough as a 16-year-old before joining Barnsley in
July 2006.
He was principally used as a substitute by the Tykes before
suffering an injury in April 2008.
His problems continued through 2008-09 and
early the following season he had a brief loan spell at Chester City before
being loaned long term to Grimsby Town. Michael, who can play either as a wide
attacking player or up front, appeared regularly for the Mariners, finishing as
joint-top scorer.
He made the permanent move to Grimsby in the summer of 2010
and featured regularly in their first season in the Conference.
