Michael Brough is an experienced defender who signed for Torquay United in the summer of 2008 and assisted the Gulls to promotion to League Two.

Michael, a versatile player who has also been used as a defensive midfield man, began the 2009-10 campaign on the bench for United making a couple of appearances as a substitute before he was loaned to Stevenage.

Michael then had a spell at Mansfield Town before joining Conference club Darlington for 2010-11 but only made a handful of appearances for the Quakers due to injury problems.

Michael began his career at Notts County making over 100 League appearances for the Magpies and representing Wales U21s.
