Player Details

Michael Kightly is a young right winger who initially joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan in November 2006, signing permanently two months later. Michael has the skill and pace to beat his man and set up opportunities for his colleagues. He enjoyed something of a whirlwind start at Molineux and he was soon a regular member of the first team, going on to become a mainstay of the 2008-09 promotion side. However, he suffered an injury towards the end of that season and further injury problems kept him out of action for much of the next two years. His first appearance of 2010-11 did not come until April and he then had a short run of outings before losing out once more. Michael began his career as a trainee with Southend and went on to play in senior football for the Shrimpers. He then drifted into non-league football with Grays Athletic before Mick McCarthy brought him to Wolves.
