Merouane Zemmama is a midfielder currently playing at Middlesbrough. Merouane arrived at Boro during the January 2011 transfer window, signing from SPL club Hibernian. The attacking midfielder had previously worked under new Boro manager Tony Mowbray during his time at Easter Road. Merouane is a slight, quick and agile player who thrives with the ball at his feet. He is comfortable playing across the midfield and can be used in the final third as a supporting striker. Merouane mostly featured from the bench for Boro in the final four months of the season, although a hamstring injury prevented a more influential role.
