Matthew Phillips

Matthew Phillips is a young winger who joined Blackpool shortly after the start of the 2010-11 season. He is a nippy player with plenty of tricks up his sleeve. Matthew made his Premier League debut when he came off the bench against Blackburn in September and marked the occasion with a superb individual goal. He featured regularly as a substitute during the remainder of the season but was unable to add to his tally of goals. Matthew is a product of the Wycombe Wanderers youth set-up and established himself at first-team level whilst still a teenager. He won the League Two Apprentice of the Year for 2008-09 and has been capped for England at U19 and U20 levels.
