Matthew Lowton is a young right-sided player who made his Championship debut with Sheffield United in the second half of 2009-10. He went on to start the final game of the campaign at Ipswich Town and played in the senior team in pre-season. He steadily established himself as a regular in the side during 2010-11, playing mainly at right or left wing back but with some appearances as a centre back and occasionally in midfield. He also contributed four goals and picked up the club?s Young Player of the Season award. Matthew is a product of the Blades' Academy and gained further experience on loan to Ferencvaros.
