Matt Hamshaw is an experienced midfield player who arrived at Macclesfield Town in the summer of 2010. Matt, who plays wide on the right, is a good passer of the ball and a creator of chances. He began his career at Sheffield Wednesday and later had spells at Stockport County and Mansfield Town before joining Notts County. Matt was a near ever-present for the Magpies in his first season at the club and his consistent form earned him the supporters' Player of the Year award but he found himself out of favour in 2009-10 and made just a couple of starts. He made a number of appearances for Macclesfield in 2010-11 as well as appearing from the bench.
