Matt Thornhill

Matt Thornhill is an attacking midfield player who came through the academy at Nottingham Forest to earn a professional contract. Matt is used in a central playmaker role and went on to make his debut for Forest in a Carling Cup tie against Chester City in August 2007. He continued to build up his experience and spent much of the 2009-10 season out on loan, firstly with Brighton and then at Cheltenham. Matt was only on the fringes of the squad in the 2010-11 campaign, with his solitary appearance coming in the Carling Cup-tie at Bradford City. In January 2011 he left the City Ground and signed for SPL club Hibernian.
