Player Details

Marvin Emnes is a forward at Middlesbrough who was in his third season in English football in 2010-11. Marvin arrived from Sparta Rotterdam with a big reputation, although he took some time in forcing his way into the Boro side. He quickly showed his talents with a superb individual goal in the 2008-09 pre-season friendly against Darlington and then scored on his full debut during a 5-1 Carling Cup win over Yeovil Town. Used mainly as a substitute during Middlesbrough's relegation from the Premier League, Marvin came to the fore in the latter part of the campaign. Marvin's His career on Teesside has been stop-start and he was eventually loaned to Swansea in October 2010, shortly before Tony Mowbray's arrival as boss. After earning cult-hero status at the Swans due to his winner against Cardiff City, Marvin returned to the Riverside to play a key forward role for his new manager.
