Marouane Chamakh is a striker who signed for Arsenal in the summer of 2010. A hard working, intelligent target man his height makes him effective in the air. Marouane was particularly impressive in the early part of the 2010-11 campaign, scoring regularly including one in each of the Gunners? first three Champions? League group games. However, he was less prominent in the second half of the season when he was often on the bench. Marouane arrived at the Emirates Stadium after a lengthy spell with Bordeaux where he had made over 250 appearances and was a member of the team that won a domestic double of the League and League Cup in 2008-09.
