Marcus Holness Biography

Marcus Holness is a defender who signed for League Two club Rochdale in October 2007 from neighbours Oldham Athletic. He finally made the breakthrough to regular first-team football with Dale in 2010-11 when he was an ever-present in all 50 competitive games, forming a formidable barrier in the centre of defence alongside Craig Dawson. Marcus spent the previous three seasons at Spotland gaining experience, and was mostly a fringe first-team player during this time.
