Player Details

Luke Williams is a teenaged forward with Middlesbrough. Luke was thrust into the limelight after Gordon Strachan's arrival as manager at the club. After impressive performances for the U18 and reserve sides, he became the club's youngest player in 104 years, making his debut at Barnsley in 2009 at the age of 16. Another substitute appearance followed soon afterwards in the FA Cup tie against Manchester City. Luke is a quick, direct and energetic player who can operate through the middle, just behind the strikers or wide on either flank. Luke picked up an injury during the FA Youth Cup victory at Doncaster Rovers in January 2011 which restricted his appearances following Tony Mowbray's arrival at the club. He has been capped for England at U19 level.
