Luke Joyce signed for Accrington Stanley in the summer of 2009 after spending three years at Carlisle United. He played a number of first-team games while at Brunton Park and went on to establish himself as a regular in the Stanley team during his first season at the Crown Ground. Luke started his career as a trainee at Wigan Athletic making his senior debut for the Latics when he came on as a substitute in an FA Cup tie before moving north to Carlisle.
