Lukasz Fabianski Biography
A goalkeeper who signed for Arsenal from Legia Warsaw in July 2007. Lukasz has been used sparingly since joining the club, mostly due to injuries and the form of his main rivals for the jersey, Manuel Almunia and Wojciech Szczesny.
An injury to Almunia enabled Lukasz to take over for a three-month spell in October 2010, his longest run of games to date for the Gunners. However, he too was put out of action by a shoulder injury at the beginning of 2011 and this ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
Lukasz was second choice to Szczesny in 2011-12, although he made regular cup appearances and featured in the Champions League game with Olympiakos when he suffered an injury that saw him replaced in the first half.
He won his first full cap for Poland in March 2006 and has continued to add further appearances for his country since then.
