Luciano Becchio Biography

Luciano Becchio is a striker who signed for Leeds United in August 2008. A hard working forward who is good in the air and on the ground, he reached a double-figure goals tally for the third season in a row in 2010-11, netting his 50th goal for the Whites against Portsmouth in January. The previous month he had signed a new contract for the club. Luciano played his early football in Argentina with the Boca Juniors youth set-up before moving to Spain where built a career as an effective striker in the lower leagues. In 2007-08 he was the leading scorer for Merida UD in the Segunda Division.
