Louis Saha is an experienced striker who joined Everton from Manchester United in the 2008 close season. An excellent finisher with great pace, Louis first came to England in January 1999 when he signed on loan for Newcastle. He then moved to Fulham, before a headline making transfer to Old Trafford in 2004. During his time with the Red Devils, Louis was a member of the team that won the Premier League and Champions? League double in 2008. Louis scored several important goals in 2008-09, including netting the fastest goal in FA Cup final history, scoring after just 25 seconds against Chelsea. He struggled with injuries in the first half of 2010-11 but was back with a vengeance after Christmas, netting four times in the 5-3 win over Blackpool before an ankle injury put him out of action again for the closing weeks of the season. Louis won several caps for France between 2004 and 2006 and was recently recalled to the squad after a four-year absence.
Unlike when Sir Alex Ferguson left Manchester United, a new Arsenal head coach will not be under immediate pressure to land a premiership title.
