Lloyd Macklin is a young winger with League Two club Torquay United. Lloyd began his career with Swindon Town where he scored prolifically with the youth team and was given his senior debut while still a scholar. He was included in the Town first- team squad at the start of 2009-10 but suffered a leg injury which kept him out of action for a number of months. Lloyd was loaned to Torquay to help him regain his fitness and signed for the Gulls on a permanent basis during the summer of 2010. He is a tall, quick player who has also been used as a striker during his career. He made only occasional starts for Torquay in 2010-11, but was a regular on the bench.
