Lloyd James is a midfielder who joined Colchester United in the summer of 2010. Lloyd is a strong tackler and a good passer of the ball, and although he did not immediately get into the U's starting line-up he went on to make a number of appearances over the season. Lloyd is a graduate of the academy at Southampton and went on to sign professional terms for the Saints in 2005. He was used both at right back and centre back as well as midfield during his time with Southampton and has been capped by Wales at youth and U21 levels.
