Hendry Thomas is a defensive midfielder who signed for Wigan Athletic in July 2009.

Prior to his move to the Latics he had spent his entire career in Honduras with Deportivo Olimpia for whom he made his senior debut at the age of 16.

Hendry is quick and strong and distributes the ball effectively as well as setting up openings for his colleagues. His main role is to play immediately in front of the back four where he can break down opposition attacks. Hendry continued to feature regularly in the team during 2010-11.

He has also been regular in the Honduras national team since making his debut in 2005 and currently has over 30 caps for his country.
