Kieran Gibbs

A left back who developed through the academy at Arsenal, signing a professional contract in September 2007.

He had previously been attached to Wimbledon as a schoolboy and was initially a winger before switching to defence. He is a quick player who is firm in the tackle and able to cross the ball accurately.

Kieran made his first-team debut for the Gunners in a Carling Cup match in October 2007, and has slowly established himself at the club. He began the 2011-12 season in the line-up but was absent for four months in the middle of the campaign through injury.

He eventually returned in February when he produced some solid performances once more. A highlight came when he scored his first-ever Barclays Premier League goal against Aston Villa in March.

He won his first full cap for England in August 2010, coming on for the second half of the friendly with Hungary.
