Kevin Doyle

Kevin Doyle is a striker who joined Wolverhampton Wanderers for a club record fee in the summer of 2009. Often used as a lone forward, he holds up the ball well to bring his colleagues into play, constantly harasses opposing defenders and has a good eye for goal. He was in excellent form in his first season at Molineux, finishing the campaign as the club’s leading scorer and winning the Players’ Player of the Season award. He was again a regular in 2010-11, although he missed several matches towards the end of the season due to injury. Kevin began his career playing in the League of Ireland with St Patrick's Athletic and Cork City before moving to Reading in August 2005. He helped the Royals win promotion to the top flight in his first season and went on to establish his credentials as a goalscorer, hitting the net on more than 50 occasions before his move to the Black Country. Kevin has been a regular for the Republic of Ireland since making his debut against Sweden back in March 2006.
