Player Details

Keith Southern was Blackpool?s longest serving player in 2010-11. He is a battling central midfield player who works tremendously hard and shows a high level of commitment. Keith began his career as a trainee with Everton and was initially on loan at Blackpool before making a permanent move in November 2001. Since then he has helped the club win promotion through the play-offs in both 2006-07 and 2009-10, producing a Man of the Match performance on the latter occasion. He missed the start of the 2010-11 season through injury and mostly featured as a substitute before coming into the side for Elliot Grandin in the closing weeks of the campaign. Keith has now made over 300 appearances for the Seasiders.
