Josh Carson Biography

Josh Carson is a second-year scholar who broke into the Ipswich Town team towards the end of the 2010-11 season. Josh joined Town at 16 and did enough in his first season with the club's academy team to earn a professional contract. A versatile midfielder, Josh was a substitute for the Carling Cup win at Exeter in August but had to wait until March and the 2-0 victory over Scunthorpe to make his debut. In the remaining weeks of the season he became a regular in Paul Jewell's side, scoring in the 2-1 defeat of Crystal Palace and then the winner at Bristol City. In the summer, having already played for the U19 and U21 sides earlier in the season, Josh won his first two full Northern Ireland caps.
