Jordan Spence

A young defender who was on the books of West Ham United in 2011-12.

Jordan is a tall right back who is composed on the ball and strong in the tackle. He progressed through the youth and reserve teams and gained experience in loan spells before being given his debut as a substitute in the final game of 2009-10. Jordan continued to progress in 2010-11 and in March he was loaned to Bristol City. He made regular appearances during his stay and his form led to him making his first start for the Hammers on his return to Upton Park.

Jordan went on to make a second appearance in the final game of the season against Sunderland. He returned to Ashton Gate for a season-long loan spell in 2011-12, featuring regularly early on. However, after a change in management in October he made just one further appearance as new boss Derek McInnes looked for greater experience at the back. Jordan has previously appeared for England at all levels from U16 to U19 levels and made his debut for the U21s against Iceland in March 2011.
