Jonny Howson Biography
Jonny Howson is midfield player who is now the longest serving professional with Leeds United. A local lad who has been attached to the club since the age of 9, he was initially a goal-scoring centre forward before converting to centre or right midfield. He is a hard working player who is comfortable moving forward and in a defensive midfield role. Jonny is now firmly established in the side at Elland Road, and enjoyed an excellent season for the Whites in 2010-11 when he was an ever-present in the starting line-up and also captained the side in the absence of Richard Naylor. Jonny won further accolades when gaining his first cap for England U21s in February and at the end of the season he received the club’s Young Player of the Year award.
