John Paintsil Biography
John Pantsil is an enthusiastic full back who joined Fulham along with Bobby Zamora in July 2008. He is a right back who is very effective when pushing down the flank to support the attack and became a great favourite of the fans at Craven Cottage. John blossomed under the tutelage of Roy Hodgson, becoming a regular in the line-up until suffering a bad knee injury against Chelsea in December 2009. However, when Mark Hughes took over his place in the side became less secure and he faced strong competition from Chris Baird. John began his career in Ghana before moving to Israel where he had spells with Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv. He then spent two seasons at West Ham, although he was not a regular in the team during his stay. John featured for Ghana at the 2006 and 2010 World Cup finals and has played more than 60 times for his country. In the summer of 2011 he signed for Leicester City.
