John Oster

John Oster is an experienced midfielder who signed for Doncaster Rovers in the summer of 2009 following a successful trial. A skilful player with a good touch on the ball, John began his career with Grimsby Town before moving to the top flight with Everton whilst still a teenager. He is a full international for Wales, having won 13 caps between 1998 and 2004. Despite missing the start of 2010-11 with a knee problem, John made more senior appearances than anyone else for the injury-hit Rovers and in fact he was one of few players to avoid a serious injury. Although not managing to find the net, John provided much ammunition for other members of Sean O'Driscoll's side in his role of midfield playmaker.
