Joe Thompson

Joe Thompson is an attacking player who graduated from the youth team at Rochdale to sign professional forms in July 2007.  Joe made his senior debut as a 17-year-old in the previous year and has since gone on to establish himself as a regular member of Dale's first-team squad.  Joe is mainly used as a right winger but has also appeared in a more central role as a striker. He scored the first hat-trick of his senior career in the 4-2 win at Aldershot in January 2009 and continued to find the net in the 2009-10 campaign.  He was in and out of the line-up in 2010-11, mostly being used in a midfield role and often featuring from the bench.
