Jason Koumas

Jason Koumas is an experienced midfield player who signed for Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2007.

He made his Latics debut on the opening day of 2007-08 and was a regular in the line-up under manager Chris Hutchings. However, after Hutchings left the club Jason struggled to get in the side. Jason spent 2010-11 on loan to Cardiff City. He made just five starts during the campaign and was mainly used as a substitute.

His only goals came at Doncaster Rovers late in the season when he earned Cardiff a valuable win after coming off the bench to net twice in stoppage time. Jason was released by Wigan at the end of the campaign.

A versatile and skilful playmaker, he made his name as a youngster with Tranmere before moving up the divisions.

Jason earned 34 full caps for Wales before retiring from international football in 2009.
