Jan Mucha is an experienced goalkeeper who joined Everton in the summer of 2010. Signed as cover for first choice Tim Howard, he spent much of his first season at Goodison on the bench, with his only appearances coming in the Carling Cup ties against Huddersfield and Brentford. Jan played his early senior football with Inter Bratislava and MSK Zilina before moving to Poland to play for Legia Warsaw. He was initially second choice behind Lukas Fabianski, taking over the number one spot after Fabianski's move to Arsenal in 2007. He helped Legia win the Polish Cup in 2007-08 and then enjoyed a successful World Cup finals tournament with Slovakia in the summer of 2010, leading to his transfer to Everton.
