Jamie McCombe is an experienced defender who signed for Huddersfield Town in July 2010. Jamie is a big, powerful central defender who is surprisingly quick for a man of his size. Effective in the air and strong in the tackle, he has also occasionally been employed as a striker in emergencies. Jamie previously spent four seasons with Bristol City, helping them gain promotion from League One in 2006-07. He was a regular in the Huddersfield defence in 2010-11 alongside skipper Peter Clarke, with the Terriers just missing out on promotion after going down to defeat by Peterborough in the play-off final.
