James Vaughan Biography
James Vaughan is a pacy striker who was on the books of Everton in 2010-11.
James made his first-team debut against Crystal Palace in April 2005, becoming the club’s youngest-ever player, beating Joe Royle’s previous record by just 11 days.
It was in this match that James set two more records, when his 84th minute strike saw him become not only the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer, but also the Premier League’s youngest goalscorer. However, following this bright start a series of injuries dogged his bid to establish himself in the first team.
Although he occasionally bounced back with impressive performances from the bench, he also spent time out on loan in recent seasons. In 2010-11 his only Premier League outing was as a substitute against Liverpool in January sandwiched between two loan spells at Crystal Palace.
He featured regularly for the Eagles and finished the season as the team’s leading scorer. James has also moved up the international ranks, winning caps for England at U17, U19 and U21 levels.
In August 2011 he moved on to sign for Norwich City.
