James Severn Biography

James Severn is a talented young goalkeeper who developed in the academy at Derby County before signing a professional contract for the club in the summer of 2010.

He was included on the first-team bench on one occasion in 2009-10 and in 2010-11 appeared in the U18s before being loaned to Tamworth in October. James made six appearances for the Conference team and produced an outstanding performance in their FA Cup first round victory over League Two club Crewe.

He went on to make his Football League debut in February when he was came off the bench early in the second half against Hull City after an injury to Stephen Bywater.

James made his debut for the England U20 later the same month when he was introduced as a substitute against France having previously represented England at U17 and U19 levels.
