James Perch is a versatile defender who joined Newcastle United in July 2010. He competed for the right-back position with Danny Simpson but is capable of playing in the centre of defence or in midfield. James made his debut for the Magpies at Old Trafford in August and made a number of appearances in the first half of the season but after that struggled to get into the starting line-up.
