James Bailey is a young midfield player who signed for Derby County in the summer of 2010. He is a product of the academy at Crewe and went on to sign a professional contract in May 2007. James established himself in the first team in 2008-09 and continued to feature in the team in 2009-10. James is best used in a holding role in the centre of the park. He made his first appearance for the Rams in the 2010-11 opening day win at Leeds United and continued to feature throughout the season, with his performances earning him the club's Young Player of the Year award.
