James Bailey is a young midfield player who signed for Derby County in the summer of 2010. He is a product of the academy at Crewe and went on to sign a professional contract in May 2007. James established himself in the first team in 2008-09 and continued to feature in the team in 2009-10. James is best used in a holding role in the centre of the park. He made his first appearance for the Rams in the 2010-11 opening day win at Leeds United and continued to feature throughout the season, with his performances earning him the club's Young Player of the Year award. James scored his first senior goal when he netted in the 2-2 draw against Queen?s Park Rangers in August 2010.
