Jake Buxton is a powerful centre back who has been at Derby County since the summer of 2009. Jake appeared regularly in his first season at the club but underwent an operation in June 2010. Although he briefly returned to appear in a friendly match Jake suffered further injury problems which resulted in a second operation and did not return to the first-team squad until January 2011. Jake's only action for the senior team during 2010-11 was a few minutes run out as a substitute at Sheffield United in February.
