Ivar Ingimarsson

Ivar Ingimarsson is an experienced central defender who remained club captain for Reading in 2010-11. Ivar joined the Royals in October 2003, becoming Steve Coppell's first signing as Reading manager. The cool-headed has made more than 280 appearances for the Royals and was a cornerstone in a relatively unchanged defence that earned the club promotion to the Premier League in 2005-06. He did not miss a minute of that title-winning campaign, nor the Royals' first-ever Premier League season, and he was named the club's Player of the Year in 2007 as a result.
