Ian Evatt

Ian Evatt is a big, powerful central defender who initially joined Blackpool on loan in August 2006, signing permanently the following January. Ian is effective in the air and distributes the ball accurately to his colleagues. He has been a regular in the line-up since signing and has now made over 150 appearances for the club. Ian partnered newcomer Craig Cathcart in the centre of defence and had a superb season with the Seasiders, despite the club’s eventual relegation. He began his career as a trainee with Derby County and later played for Chesterfield and Queen’s Park Rangers before joining Blackpool.
