    Ian Ashbee signed for Preston North End in January 2011 thus linking up again with his former manager fromHull City, Phil Brown. After signing for Preston, Ian went on to make 19 appearances for the Whites in the remainder of the 2010-11 campaign. 

    The veteran midfielder is best known for his tackling ability and leadership skills on the field of play. With Premier League experience in his locker, he will be a key figure in Preston's search to regain Championship status after their relegation to League One. 

    Ian is best known for his time at Cambridge United and Hull City, making over 200 appearances for both clubs.
