Harry Davis is a young defender who signed his first professional contract for Crewe Alexandra in the summer of 2010 after two years as a scholar at the Gresty Road club. Harry is a central defender who is good in the air and has the ability to read the game. He appeared regularly in the U18s and reserves and after making the first-team bench on a number of occasions he was given his debut when he came on against Bradford City in the final game of the 2009-10 season. Harry had spells on loan at Conference North club Stafford Rangers and Northern Premier League Curzon Ashton during 2010-11 as he continued his football development. His only first-team appearance for Crewe was on the final day of the season - coincidentally again when he came off the bench against Bradford City.
